Power Yoga – Practice Before Theory

Two new stick figure yoga routines are up and available. Start with sun salutations for a warm up and then dive in! Audio coming soon.

One of the best things that power yoga took from Pattabhi Jois‘ ashtanga yoga was the philosophy of “99% practice, 1% theory”. Only through practice can yoga be known. But, power yoga also took the standing poses from ashtanga yoga and dove head first into them. These lunge series sequences are the essence of the standing poses from ashtanga. They fit best between the sun salutations and a few closing seated postures.
